Louise Van Veenendaal, aka "The Diva From DownUnder" is a Vocalist and Actress,  well known for her wicked sense of humor, super fun personality and hard work ethic.

 

Originally from Melbourne, Australia at the tender age of 19 she packed up her bags and moved to the big lights of New York City to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry. Now residing in Los Angeles,  Louise has worked as a professional session, touring and live vocalist and actress for 10 years. 

 

Louise attended the prestigious conservatory program at the Atlantic Acting School in New York City which was founded by William H. Macey, David Mamet, and Felicity Huffman. After graduating Louise appeared in various theatrical productions in New York.

 

In 2009 Louise produced and starred in her own show "The Diva From DownUnder" at the famous cabaret venue "The Duplex" in the West Village of Manhattan . The sold out show soon became well known throughout the community and her show was extended and moved to prestigious venue "Don't Tell Mama" on W46TH street in midtown Manhattan. The show also had its festive "Somewhat Seasonal Extravaganza" holiday show at this midtown venue.

 

During the success of the "Diva show" a prominent musical producer scouted Louise and invited her to audition for a new off broadway rock musical "The Hole" the very next day. After a 6 hour excruciating audition and call backs Louise beat out many Broadway names for the lead role of "Nadia" a partying rock n rollin' sex worker. The producer attributed her success to her outrageous Aussie sense of humor (having the production team in stitches), and her powerhouse vocal ability.

 

In 2010 Louise relocated to Los Angeles to work more prominently on her Film and TV career. She then met music producer and DJ Johnny James and together they began working on various lounge/house tracks and Louise began revive her talent in songwriting and composition.

 

In 2013 Louise produced and starred in the monthly Hollywood show "Vaudeville Sideshow", in which she hosted and performed once a month. She also landed a role in the controversial tv-web show "Starving in Hollywood" in which her comedic ability truly shone through.

 

Louise then released a music video on youTube for her own original track "Mario" the video depicted her and friends dressed up as Nintendo characters singing their love for Mario and Luigi. The video soon went viral getting over 1.5 million views and it then became her most notable comedic work to date, with articles appearing on her portrayal of Princess Peach all over the world (Including to her amazement CNN in Chile!)

 

In 2014 Louise appeared as a finalist on the Australian version of "THE VOICE" 

Louise's blind Audition aired to over 2 million Australian viewers and was shared online throughout the world. Will I Am turned his chair and entitled Louise "Voice Lady" because of her super power voice. 

 

During her time on the show Louise became one of the most talked about contestants in the show's history with her high energy performances and elaborate costuming. Developing a very loyal and passionate fanbase.

 

After leaving the show Louise received support from around the world with hundreds of people from over 60 different countries sending her their well wishes and love. 

 

Currently Louise performs in both Los Angeles, Australia and worldwide and has been notably recognized as a top backing vocalist  and  session singer in the studio to big name artists including Slash (Guns and Roses), Robby Krieger (The Doors), Christina Aguilera, Don Felder (The Eagles) Joe Bonnamassa, Sammy Hagar, Orianthi and more!

Louise is releasing tracks with DJ's worldwide including tracks recently being signed to notable EDM record labels in LONDON, MEXICO, USA, SERBIA, SOUTH AMERICA, NETHERLANDS, SPAIN, RUSSIA AND AUSTRALIA. She also performs regularly at large music venues around LA  and Las Vegas.

Louise also works as a professional actress appearing in many films and TV shows, including having a recent cameo in the new "SPACE JAM A NEW LEGACY" MOVIE. In which her role as The Nun has received a-lot of social media and media attention!
